Ashlee DiMaggio
Ashlee DiMaggio is the Program Director at Uplift and Inspire LLC, where she develops person-centered programs, strengthens community partnerships, and creates meaningful opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She earned her associate degree in psychology from Delaware County Community College in 2023 and her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Neumann University in 2025.
During college, Ashlee completed multiple internships that helped shape her professional path and deepen her understanding of people with diverse support and communication needs. At Saint Edmond’s Home for Children, she worked under a recreational therapist and helped plan and facilitate interactive activities, community outings, and summer camp experiences for children with disabilities. She also interned at Saint Francis of Assisi House, where she worked on the dementia unit supporting the Sisters. Through these experiences, Ashlee learned a great deal about both others and herself. Most importantly, she discovered a deep passion for helping and understanding individuals who may have difficulty independently expressing their needs, preferences, thoughts, or emotions. Ashlee later worked as a Life Coach for approximately two years and earned certifications in Behavioral Support Services and Systematic Skill Building. Her professional experience includes program coordination, behavioral supports, job coaching, life coaching, systematic skill building, and community-based services.
Ashlee is especially passionate about making activities and community experiences accessible to everyone. She believes that inclusion is about more than simply offering an activity that matches each person’s interests. It is also about creating an environment where every individual feels comfortable, accepted, valued, and excited to be part of something. Even when a particular activity may not initially be someone’s preferred choice, Ashlee finds joy in adapting the experience, providing meaningful options, and creating such a welcoming atmosphere that everyone feels they belong and wants to participate.
Ashlee believes that true belonging means being more than present—it means feeling heard, included, and appreciated for the strengths each person brings. Through her involvement with New Avenue Foundation, she hopes to use her creativity and passion for inclusion to help create welcoming and accessible activities where everyone feels valued and excited to participate.
