Our journey in creating a non-profit continues. As we attend meetings and meet new friends, we continue to see the many families in the same situation as us – how to prepare for the future of our child without us. We continue to be amazed by the energy and passion fellow parents have when it comes to their children. This driving force provides the much-needed creative out-of-the-box thinking to create alternatives to existing solutions.
We’ve met recently with Media Real Estate, the Office of Intellectual Disabilities, other parent-led groups, the Office of Housing and Community Development, to name a few. After each meeting, our vision and mission for what we are doing are reinforced. And so, our journey will continue.
